As many of you are aware, Small Business Server has never been available for download from the Volume License Service Center. However, it is available for download for those of you with a TechNet subscription and rumor has it that it will be making it way into the Action Pack Subscription soon, but that’s just a rumor. If you would like to get it installed instead of waiting for the media, this is your best option today. You’ll need to login to the technet.microsoft.com site with your LIVE ID associated with your TN Subscription. On the main screen, scroll down the page. Half way down you see a hyperlink that takes you to Downloads and Product Keys. Once there, expand the Operating Systems Tab on the left hand side of the screen and scroll down until you find Small Business Server 2011. In this folder, you’ll find two downloads, the main download is for the x64 bit ISO of Small Business Server 2011, the 2nd download if for the repair disk.
Be prepared to wait a while for the download. The ISO is just over 6.5 GB in size so make sure you have plenty of room to store it. This will be important when you are ready to utilize the download, you will need to decide if you are going to burn it on a DUAL Layer DVD, or put it on a large USB thumb drive. Notice I said Dual Layer DVD. Since the file is so large, it will not compress to fit on a standard DVD, thus the reason many Partners are turning to the 8 and 16GB USB Thumb drives.

I’m not going to go into detail about the process for burning the DVD or making a bootable USB because my friend and SBS MVP, Eriq Neale has already created an in depth blog that walks you through that process. You can his article at http://bit.ly/ggVmo1
I know its not the best solution, but it’s a viable workaround until we can talk the volume license folks into getting it hosted, which would still require you to know how to create the bootable USB drive.
Aug 25, 2018 Where to find SBS 2011 Standard ISO file? 11 months ago. Where to find SBS 2011 Standard ISO file? We're trying to reinstall SBS 2011 Standard at our office but the discs are missing. I've done some googling but the ISOs don't seem to be available anywhere. Nov 14, 2015 Does anyone know where I can download the ISO for Small Business Server 2011 Standard? I have an existing SBS 2011 Standard server that I need to rebuild, and the only ISO I can find is for Essentials, not Standard. All of the other links I've come across aren't valid anymore. Hi Brian: It is on MSDN but you will need an account to gain access.

Small Business Server 2011
Partners - Do you have Small Business Server 2011 Standard with Volume Licensing, and need to download the media?
Here are a couple options:
Download from TechNet, or MSDN if you have subscriptions. It will also be available with the Microsoft Action Pack subscription in February.
For more information on these downloads – Check out Charles Van Heusen’s earlier post: http://blogs.technet.com/b/uspartner_ts2team/archive/2011/01/28/where-to-download-sbs2011-standard-for-installation.aspx
What can you do if you don’t have any subscriptions? – Found this post on the SBS blog.
Due to the size of the SBS 2011 Standard media (6.5Gb), downloading is not available on the VLSC (Volume Licensing Service Center), and is supported via media order only.
However, we have a dedicated large file download system partnering with Akamai to support our SBS 2011 Standard Evaluations. The great news is you can easily convert this evaluation version to a licensed version using Windows Activation.
Here is what you need to do if you want immediate access to SBS 2011 Standard through download and are a VLSC customer.
1. Download the SBS 2011 Evaluation through the CARE system
2. Install the evaluation onto your target server
3. Logon on your VLSC account, and access your SBS 2011 Standard MAK key
4. Click the Start menu on the server desktop, right click Computer, choose Properties, and then click the link under Windows Activation.
5. Click Activate Windows online now, type your MAK product key, click Next, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
